An Israeli air force aircraft fired, on Monday at night, several missiles at a Palestinian vehicle in the Jabalia refugee camp, in the Gaza Strip; two residents were killed, and three were injured, one seriously.
A Palestinian source in Gaza reported that the Israeli air force fired at a vehicle transporting three Palestinian fighters of Al Quds brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad, killing two.
The bodies of the two fighters were severely mutilated, a medical source reported; the assassination was carried out approximately at 21:00hours on Monday at night.
The attack took place at a street close to Al Saftawi area, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.
The two fighters were identified as Sa’id Abu Jidian, and Akram Qiddees. Three bystanders were injured.
A source of the Islamic Jihad said that Abu Al Jidian, member of Al Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad, is in charge of manufacturing homemade shells, while the Akram Qiddees is the father of Rami, who was killed by the area during an invasion to the Jabalia refugee camp.
An Israeli military source claimed that the assassination was carried near a border area Israel has declared off limits to Palestinians.
Abu Al Waleed, leader of the Al Quds brigades, in the Gaza Strip, said that the brigades will retaliate fast and hard to the "new Israeli crime".
Sheikh Khaled Al Batsh, one of the political leaders of the Islamic Jihad said that the "Zionist crime will not pass unpunished", and added that the retaliation of the brigades will be soon.
"Sharon, and the Zionist enemy, are going on with the barbaric acts, crimes, and will pay the price", Al Batsh stated, "the occupation talks about one sided truce, and carried cold-blooded assassinations".
Also, Al Baths added that the priority of the Palestinians is resistance and not the elections polls, referring to the upcoming legislative elections in January 2006.
"We cannot go to elections which Israel carried massacres against tour people", Al Batsh stated.
