Israeli troops sealed off the northern entrance of the West Bank city of Tulkarem, and barred the residents form crossing.
Soldiers stopped dozens of vehicles, searched them and checked the passengers’ identity cards; soldiers also used military dogs in searching the residents and vehicles.
The entrance was closed shortly after the army assassinated a top Hamas leader in Tulkarem.
