The Maan News Agency in Bethlehem reported that senior Fateh leader, Hani Al Hasan, was transported to Maqassed Hospital in Jerusalem after losing consciousness during a speech in Al Biereh, near Ramallah.
Eyewitnesses told Maan that Hasan showed signs of exhaustion during the speech, and quickly summarized his remarks with one sentence; "Revolution until victory", and collapsed.
A medical source in Ramallah reported that Hasan arrived at the hospital with low blood pressure and extreme exhaustion.
Hasan is in a stable condition but will most likely remain in hospital for furthers tests and treatment, Dr. Ranam Ghosha said.
Seventy year old Hani Al Hasan is one of the founders of Fateh and a member of the movement’s Central Committee.
He had close ties with the late Palestinian President, Yasser Arafat, and a strong supporter of the peace process and the Oslo accords.
Recently, Sakher Habash, member of Fateh’s Central Committee, was recently transported to a Jordanian hospital after suffering from deteriorating health, Maan added.
