Israeli sources reported on Wednesday evening that the acting Israeli Prime Minster Ehud Olmert will change the route of the Wall around the village of Beit Iksa and Ariel settlement block as advised by the public security service, (Shabak).

The advice by Shabak is to have the village of Beit Iksa on the Palestinian side of the wall in order not to be used as a crossing point for the workers to enter Israel.

The village of Beit Iksa was annexed to Israel by the wall during the "Jerusalem embracer" project the Israeli government is implementing, which aims to annex Jewish settlements to Israel and separate Jerusalem from its Arab suburbs.

Olmert approved annexing areas around the Ariel settlement block near the West Bank city of Salfit also based on advice from the Israeli Shabak.
