Tuesday morning, an Israeli army special unit injured one resident and arrested him along with two other residents, during an invasion of Beit Jala, near the West Bank city of Bethlehem.
Hazem Al Ajalah, 27, a Palestinian security officer, is originally from Gaza and is a member of the Palestinian security forces in Bethlehem.
He was shot while attempting to escape when an undercover army unit disguised in civilian clothes attempted to kidnap him from the public park in the town center.
Troops and army vehicles stormed the town shortly after the incident, arrested Al Ajalah, and two other residents who were in the area, and took them to unknown destination, eyewitnesses reported.
