The Keneset’s, Israeli parliament, financial committee approved a mandate to give financial aid to South Lebanese Army troops living in Israel on Tuesday evening.
The troops will receive 3500 USD annually for the next seven years.
Last year the Keneset also approved aid for the Lebanese Army in appreciation for their military services during the Lebanese war.
South Lebanese Army or Militia was an ally to the Israeli army during the years of the invasion to Lebanon and later in the occupation to the south of Lebanon.
