The Israeli army troops stationed at Jebara and Itaba checkpoints south of the West Bank city of Tulkarem are detaining scores of Palestinian residents from the city.
 
Soldiers searched cars and residents before letting them through the checkpoint and eyewitnesses reported that soldiers took a long time to check cars and ID cards, causing many residents to miss school and work.
