Israeli Border Guard officers claimed thwarting a stabbing attempt at the Salem checkpoint, near the West Bank city of Jenin.
An Israeli military source reported that a Palestinian man arrived at the checkpoint and stirred the suspicions of the soldiers.
“Upon searching him, soldiers found a 20-cm knife in his possession”, the source claimed.
The man was transferred to a detention center for interrogation, Israeli sources reported that he admitted planning to stab a soldier.
