Israeli army tanks positioned on the borders between the Gaza strip and Israeli resumed the shelling of Palestinian areas north of Gaza city and east of the town of Beit Lahia, Saturday morning.
Shells landed in open areas causing damage to buildings, and several residents were reported to be treated for shock cases due to the shelling, local sources reported.
The Israeli airforce, ground troops and naval boats escalated the shelling of several areas in the Gaza Strip on Friday night.
