A Palestinian medical source at the Gaza European Hospital, north of Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, reported on Saturday that one resident died of wounds sustained after the Israeli army shelled Rafah on Friday, April 7.

The source stated that resident Eyada Abdullah Abu Jareeda, 31, was severely injured when Israeli war-jets fired missiles at Tal AL Sultan area, in Rafah; several residents were killed and injured in the strike.  

Abu Jareeda was  badly injured in his head and remained unconscious and in a critical condition until he was officially declared dead on Saturday.
