Israeli military sources reported that Israeli soldiers arrested sixteen Palestinians in various parts of the West Bank Thursday night.  The arrested Palestinians were taken by force from their homes, in large-scale military invasions into Palestinian towns and villages.

In Ramallah, one Fatah activist was arrested. While in the Bethlehem area, Israeli forces raided the villages of Tequ’a and Harmalah, east of Bethlehem and broke into several houses. Dakhel Salem Obayat (33) from Tequ’a, and Tareq Atallah (20), an employee in the Civil Defense from Harmalah were arrested and taken to an unknown destination.   Arrests were also made in Jenin and in Hebron.

It is unknown at this time where the arrested Palestinians were taken, although it is reported that they are being held without charges.
