Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has stated that Jakarta is ready to offer technical assistance to the Palestinians.

During his current visit to , President Susilo expressed his hope that the Palestinian problems can be resolved peacefully and sustainable.

He added that in order to effectively assist in putting an end to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, it is necessary that not only the United Nations (UN), the European Union (EU), and the be involved, but also other nations like and .

is ready to cooperate with with the aim to establishing long-term peace in Palestine, he added.

The and the EU have boycotted the recently elected Hamas government saying that this government is run by a "terrorist organization."

The boycott also included preventing banks from entering money from any source to the Palestinian government, which is causing a serious financial crisis in Palestine especially that the Palestinian Authority is unable to pay the salaries of 150 thousand state employees, for the months of March and April.

On the other hand, is also holding monthly payments of 55 million US dollars, due to the Palestinians from tax revenue.
