Palestinian security sources reported that a large military force raided the northwestern West Bank city during the early evening hours, moving into the refugee camp and opening fire for hours. Doctors at Thabit Thabit Hospital worked on the injured, especially the man with a severe injury in his abdomen.
Young Palestinians threw stones as Israeli soldiers opened heavy fire while a military helicopter circled overhead. No arrests were reported. It remains unclear the purpose of the invasion other than basic harassment. Israeli sources offered no explanation whatsoever.
