Palestinian security sources and eyewitnesses reported on Monday that a group of gunmen broke in Monday afternoon into the main headquarters of the Palestinian Satellite TV station in the Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip and broke its equipment.
The sources added that the gunmen sabotaged broadcasting tools and furniture before leaving the building.
The Palestinian Television, Radio, and the Palestinian News Agency, WAFA, are under the authority of the Palestinian President’s office, and not under the control of the Ministry of Information controlled by the Hamas-led Palestinian government.
Mohammad Al Dahoudy, head of the Palestinian Television and Radio in the Gaza Strip, denounced the attack, adding that this is not the first attack against the Palestinian TV station.

Al Dahoudy stated that the gunmen broke into the station and opened fire at the after the burial ceremony of two Hamas members, including a woman who is a relative of a Qassam Brigades member.
Sami Abu Zuhri, Hamas media spokesperson, denounced the accusation of Al Dahoudy and denied any relation with the attack.
Over the last several weeks, Khan Younis whitenesses violent clashes between members of Hamas and Fateh. Several civilians casualties were killed and injured, during the ongoing exchanges of fire between the gunmen.
The recent casualty was a regnant woman, and the brother of her husband, who were both shot and killed after gunmen opened fire at their vehicle in Khan Younis.
