The Israeli air force fired missiles at a group of fighters east of Beit Hanoun town, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, killing two resistance fighters and injuring three others. Three Palestinians were killed in a pre-dawn Israeli air strike in Beit Hanoun.
Sources at joint operations room for Palestinian Resistance Fighters identified the two fighters as Abdul-Latif Obeid, 20, and Maher Atallah, 19, member of the Salah Ed Deen Brigades, the armed wing of the Popular Resistance committees. At least four Palestinians were injured in the attack.
The number of Palestinians killed in the Gaza Strip since early hours on Sunday arrived to five.
Palestinian security and medical sources have reported that three Palestinians were killed in a pre-dawn Israeli air raid on the northern Gaza Strip town of Beit Hanoun Sunday. A dozen other citizens were wounded in the attack.
Dr. Moawiya Hassanen, head of the emergency Unit at the Palestinian Ministry of Health, identified the three residents as Mo’ath Adwan, 23, Abdul-Karim Hamad, 25, and Zoheir Al Kafarna, 28.
The three were killed after the Israeli tanks and armored vehicles invaded Beit Hanoun and shelled several areas under aerial coverage by military helicopters.
Earlier on Sunday, a Palestinian medical source in Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, reported that an elderly woman died when an Israeli shells blasted near her house.
The source stated that Fatima Al Shubairi, 70, was injured inside her home in the vicinity of Soufa Crossing, northeast of Rafah district, after a tank shell exploded near her home.
On Sunday at noon, an Israeli unmanned planes fired missiles at resistance fighters at Beit Hanoun Graveyard; the fighters escaped the attack unharmed.
The fighters are members of the Al Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad movement.
Also, one Palestinian farmer was injured after an Israeli shells exploded in his land, in Beit Lahia, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip. He was identified as mad Mahmoud Hamden, 20.
A Japanese reported identified as Kee Otosaky, 27, and his Palestinian co-worker, were injured by Israeli military fire in Beit Hanoun.
