Al Arabiya television said on Friday the Israeli army had found the body of an Israeli soldier who had previously been reported missing, in southern Lebanon. Earlier on Friday, Israel army spokespeople confirmed that four soldiers had been killed and several wounded in fierce clashes with Hezbollah resistance fighters just inside Lebanon on Thursday.
Israel has so far failed to stop Hezbollah cross-border rocket attacks, despite 10 days of massive bombings which have killed 345 people in Lebanon and forced half a million to leave their homes. About 90 percent of those killed were civilians, many of them families in bus convoys attempting to evacuate from the south to the north.
At least 34 Israeli soldiers and civilians have been killed, almost all in fighting with Hezbollah fighters or by rockets fired by the Lebanese group.
