Israeli army soldiers closed several main and side roads around the West Bank city of Tulkarem early Tuesday morning.
Troops stopped public taxi and civilian cars at flying checkpoints, searching them and checking ID cards of the passengers.
According to residents, troops did not allow citizens under the age of 35 to enter the city.
Meanwhile, eyewitnesses reported that soldiers also closed the main road that connects the city with the nearby city of Jenin, and were not allowing residents from Tulkarem to travel to Jenin.
