On Thursday afternoon, the Israeli army forcibly entered areas south east of Rafah city, in the southern Gaza Strip, in a 2km-deep incursion to the territory.

According to local sources, tanks, armored vehicles and helicopters barged into the town through Sufa crossing, headed toward the residential district.  Residents added that tanks fired from heavy machine guns randomly at residents’ houses.
