Israeli army forces closed the entrance of Wadi Al Far’a village, south of the West Bank city of Tubas, early on Saturday morning.

Troops and jeeps sealed the area and prevented vehicles and pedestrians from passing, forcing them to stand at a sudden military checkpoint they installed in the area.  Eyewitnesses reported that army vehicles chased residents’ vehicles that tried to bypass the checkpoint, detaining them for several hours.

The army has been enforcing a tight siege on Tubas city and its surrounding villages for at least a week, local residents reported.
