The Israeli army continued confiscating the ID cards of residents in the northern West Bank city of Tubas Tuesday morning.
Troops set up a checkpoint between the city and neighboring farm lands and prevented residents going to their land. The residents who tried to pass had their IDs confiscated and were told to go to the civil administration office in the area to get their IDs back.
Local farmers said the army has been confiscating hundreds of ID cards since the beginning of this year. The army claims residents should not be in the Jordan Valley area, which prohibited for West Bank residents.
