Farmers in the West Bank town of Qalqilia continue to challenge closures to their land created by the separation wall.   Unable to care for their crops, farmers have applied  for permits, but have been rejected. Despite constant denial, farmers Jamil Salim and others refuse to give up.  Eight thousand dunums of land have been confiscated from Palestinian villages to the west since Israel started construction of the wall.
