The Israeli army invaded the West Bank city of Nablus and the nearby Balata refugee camp on Wednesday morning and took one resident of the refugee camp as a prisoner.

Maher Thokan from Balata refugee camp in Nablus was taken by the army after soldiers stormed the camp and searched several houses, including his family's house.

Eyewitnesses reported that soldiers fired live rounds into the houses they searched, and destroyed some of the families' belongings before leaving.
