Israeli security sources said on Thursday that a comprehensive closure would be imposed on the West Bank and Gaza starting on Friday until further notice during the Jewish New Year holiday, which takes place on Saturday. The Israeli defense minister has given orders to the army to perform "necessary procedures". The closure will make movement impossible for the 3.5 million Palestinians living in the West Bank, and the 1.2 million living in the Gaza Strip.
