Palestinian medical sources in Hebron, in the southern part of the West
Bank, reported that one resident was shot and injured after a settler
from the Keryat Arba' settlement, east of Hebron, opened fire at him
when he was standing near the settlement fence.
The resident was identified as Hasan Al Ja'bary, 54. He was admitted to surgery at the Hebron Hospital in the city.
Al Ja'bary was injured by a round of live ammunition in his knee, the sources added.
The resident was herding his sheep near his house located beside the settlement fence and near an Israeli military camp. The settler shot Al Ja'bary and fled the scene.
Meanwhile, settlement guards threatened to shoot the injured resident “if he enters the area again”, the Palestinian News Agency, WAFA, reported.
