Fateh legislator, Mohammad Dahlan, said on Tuesday that the meetings
between president Mahmoud Abbas, and Prime Minister, Ismail Haniyya,
were serious and detailed, and that they discussed and solved several
important issues, but the formation of the government needs some time.
The statements of Dahlan came during a press conference in Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.
“What happened in the last few days, and what will happen in the coming days is a new hope for the Palestinians”, Dahlan stated, “Palestinians must unite, to face Israel and lift the siege”.
Commenting on the Israeli military offensive, Dahlan stated that Israel is using the Palestinians as a test field for its weapons and international barred weapons.
“Nothing explains this brutal offensive on the Gaza Strip”, he added, “The international community is not stopping Israel while it kills civilians and children”.
Dahlan also greeted president Mahmoud Abbas for calling for an urgent session to the Security Council and said that the Palestinians need Arab and International support for their protection.
He slammed the American position regarding the Israeli military escalation in the Gaza Strip.
