The Al Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, reported that one of
its field leaders died on Saturday evening of wounds sustained on
November 2, during the second day of the Israeli military offensive in
the Gaza Strip.
The fighter was seriously injured in the Jabalia refugee camp, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.
Shadi Jamal AL Shareef, 25, received treatment in the Gaza Strip before he was moved to an Egyptian hospital due to the seriousness of his condition. He died of his wounds at the Egyptian hospital.
The Al Qassam Brigades issued a press release and said that Al Shareef was injured as he and other fighters ambushed, on Thursday evening (November 2), Israeli forces invading the northern part of the Gaza Strip.
An Israeli military helicopter fired missiles at them and killed one fighter identified as Hasan Salah. Several fighters, including Al Shareef, were injured in the shelling.
