Palestinian medical source in Gaza reported on Friday afternoon that a
resident who was shot and killed by the Israeli army two weeks ago and
remained unknown was identified on Friday by family members.
The resident, Murad Ibrahim Abu Awwad, 27, from Dir Al Balah town in the central Gaza Strip, was shot and killed by Israeli military fire near Al Mintar (Karni) crossing.
Abu Awwad was killed and two of his comrades were taken prisoner as they were standing near a fence separating the Gaza Strip from Israel, close to the Crossing, east of Gaza city.
The family of Abu Awwad managed to identify his body on Friday.
