The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported on Tuesday that 24 Palestinians were injured, and many were abducted, during the Israeli military invasion of Qalandia refugee camp and the nearby town of Kafr Aqab, north of occupied Jerusalem.

According to medical teams, the injuries from Tuesday’s invasion included:

  • 3 people shot with live ammunition.
  • 3 injured by rubber‑coated metal bullets.
  • 1 person was assaulted and beaten.
  • 17 suffering from tear‑gas inhalation due to heavy firing of gas canisters.

Military actions and property seizures:

The Jerusalem Governorate said Israeli forces closed the Qalandia military roadblock, stormed several commercial shops in Kafr Aqab, and confiscated goods and equipment, causing significant financial losses to local business owners.

Israeli forces also forced three Palestinian families in Qalandia refugee camp to evacuate their homes and converted one of the houses into a military outpost.

The governorate added that it had observed unusual military movements since early morning, including a large deployment of military vehicles and bulldozers around the area—an indication that the invasion had been planned in advance.

Officials warned of the dangers posed by the continued military incursions and held Israel fully responsible for any escalation on the ground amid rising tensions.

During the invasion, soldiers abducted numerous young men, forcing them to the ground, restraining them, and transporting them to an unknown location.

Palestinian worker dies of gunshot wounds:

Earlier in the day, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the death of Yousef Omar Aqel, 33, who succumbed to critical wounds sustained last week when Israeli forces shot him near the town of ar‑Ram, north of Jerusalem.

Local sources said Aqel, a resident of the town of Biddya west of Salfit, was shot while attempting to cross into his workplace inside Israel.

He was transferred to the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah, where he remained in intensive care until he was pronounced dead.
