Israeli soldiers abducted on Monday morning the advisor to the Palestinian Minister of Heath after breaking into his home in Hebron city, in the southern part of the West Bank. Fifteen Palestinian civilians were also taken prisoner on Monday morning. Local sources in Hebron reported that soldiers abducted Dr. Hatim Mahmoud Shihada, 54, the advisor to the Palestinian Minister of Health, Basim Na’im, and took him to an unknown destination.
The sources stated that soldiers surrounded Shihada’s house in the Abu Kteila area in Hebron, broke into it and searched it before abducting him.
Also on Monday, soldiers abducted fifteen civilians, mainly members of Hamas, the Islamic Jihad and the Al Aqsa brigades (the armed wing of Fateh), from several areas in the West Bank.
The abductions took place in Bethlehem, Hebron, Nablus and Ramallah, Palestinian sources reported.
