Israeli troops shot and wounded two Palestinian civilians at the Beit Ebba checkpoint, to the west of Nablus city in the West Bank
Palestinian security sources said that the Israeli soldiers manning the checkpoint opened heavy random fire at Palestinians who were lining up at the checkpoint. Qasem Khader, 59, was wounded with a bullet in his left leg and Ziad Shoban, 17, with a tear gas canister in his foot.

The soldiers also took prisoner two others and sealed off the checkpoint, denying passers-by access.
