Palestinian medical sources in the southern Gaza Strip city of Khan Younis reported that six residents, including four members of the same family, were shot and injured on Saturday evening by unknown gunmen.Medical sources told the Palestinian Maan News Agency that Sami Salaam Arafat, 24, his brother Mohammad, 18, Hasan Ma’moun Arafat, 15, Khaleel Al Daghma, 28, and Taiseer Arafat, were all shot and injured by unknown gunmen east of Khan Younis.

The sources stated that Salaam Arafat was the first shot by gunmen, and as an ambulance was transferring him to a local hospital, gunmen intercepted it and fired at its passengers injuring Mohammad and his relative Hasan. The rest of the injured residents were in a vehicle that happened to be passing by the ambulance.

A source of the Arafat family said that Sami was abducted by members of the Executive Force, loyal to Hamas, and was found injured in Khan Younis.

The source added that as the ambulance was transferring Sami to a local hospital, gunmen opened fire at it, five people were injured.
