The Israeli army invaded several parts of the West Bank on Thursday morning and abducted at least 20 Palestinian civilians.
In Nablus city, in the northern part of the West Bank, a massive Israeli force invaded the down town area, searched scores of residents homes then abducted seven civilians. Soldiers opened fire randomly at residents' homes and vandalised their belongings during the search, eyewitnesses reported.
Among those abducted were Ayham Qandilo, 23, Tarik Al Sikhil, 21, and Isslam Qitishat, 20. All seven were taken to unknown detention camps. An Israeli army spokesperson told the Israeli army radio on Thursday that the abduction campaign carried out in the West Bank targeted 'Hamas and Fatah Activists'. Palestinian sources reported that all those abducted are civilians.
