Talal Abu Tharefa, member of the Central Committee of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP), stated on Friday that the Israeli army was forced to dismantle a military post in the Gaza Strip on Friday morning due to repeated shelling by different resistance groups, using homemade shells. The post was installed several months ago. Abu Thareefa added that the military post, and several military posts in the Gaza Strip, were repeatedly shelled by several resistance groups.
He added that this event is considered an outcome of ongoing resistance against the repeated Israeli invasions and shelling in the Gaza Strip.
He also stated that the International Community, and the United States, are to be held responsible for the Israeli assaults in Gaza since they remained idle and did not attempt to stop the Israeli violations.
Meanwhile, the Al Quds brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad, claimed responsibility for firing several homemade shells at the Israeli Negev Town of Sderot on Friday evening.
The group issued a press release stating that the shelling is a natural outcome of the ongoing Israeli assaults, escalation and assassinations in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
On Wednesday morning Waleed Anees Obaidi (Abu Al Qassam), 41, leader of the Al Quds brigades in the West Bank, was shot and killed during armed clashes with Israeli forces invading Qabatia town, south west of the northern West Bank city of Jenin.
