Three civilians were kidnapped by Israeli troops during a house search campaign the army carried out in several parts of the southern West Bank city of Hebron on Tuesday.

Ryiad Bihass, 23, from Yatta village near Hebron, was on his way to a University in Hebron city when soldiers stopped him at a checkpoint near the city and kidnapped him.

Witnesses stated that soldiers forced the young man out of the taxi, and then handcuffed him before taking him to an unknown destination.

Two other civilians were kidnapped when troops searched homes located in Hebron city center. The names of the two residents remained unknown until the time of this report.

Witnesses said that several army vehicles and soldiers stormed Hebron city center, searched and ransacked several homes then took two men to an unknown location.
