Israeli media sources reported that an Israeli army officer was lightly injured on Tuesday during a military training exercise in an army base located in southern Israel
The Israeli online daily, Haaretz, reported that an explosive device exploded near the officer lightly injuring him, the officer was moved to a nearby military hospital for treatment.
The commander of the army base halted the training and ordered an investigation, Israeli sources reported.
On February of this year an Israeli soldier died after he collapsed during a training drill in the Negev area in southern Israel.
