On Sunday a new Jewish leftist movement which opposes the Israeli occupation of Palestine was formed in Canada. The movement calls itself the Jewish Canadian Coalition, and officially announced that it opposes the Israeli occupation to the Palestinian territories. It its announcement, the movement said that it wishes to be an alternative to the Jewish Canadian Congress.
The movement added that it wishes to make the voice of Jews opposing Zionism heard, and added that the Jewish Canadian conference does not adequately represent the 1.5 million Jews living in Canada, especially their views regarding the Israeli occupation of Palestine.
