The Al Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, stated on Friday that the eight residents, including a child, who were killed in Beit Lahia on Thursday died due to a technical error, as an explosive charge being prepared prematurely exploded while in final stages of preparation, the Arabs48 news website reported.
The group stated that the fighters were finalizing the preparation of explosive charges which were meant to be used in attacks against the Israeli military. .
The fighters were preparing explosive charges in the house of Majid Hammouda who was killed in the blast along with his child daughter, Nour.
The rest of the casualties were leaders of the brigades, they were identified as;
– Ashraf Naim Moshtaha.
– Hasan Mohammad Abu Shaqfa.
– Mohammad Sabri Abu Naja.
– Mohammad Hamdan Miqdad.
– Ahmad Moneer Sbeih.
