Palestinian medical sources reported Sunday that a farmer was wounded by Israeli fire east of Beit Hanoun, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip. The sources added that the farmer was moved to a local hospital after being hit by two rounds of live ammunition in his legs while he was planting his land.
The farmer was identified as Mahmoud Mohammad Al Zaaneen, 28.
In a separate incident, the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, the armed wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) claimed responsibility for shooting an Israeli tractor driver east of Beit Hanoun.
The group added that it is committed to the path of resistance until liberation and independence.
