The Palestine Media Center (PMC) reported that twelve Palestinians, members of three Palestinian families in Haiti, were safely evacuated Wednesday from the earthquake stricken area, with the help of the Palestinian Foreign Ministry.The Palestinian nationals were moved to Jordan by a Jordanian plane, and were received by members of staff of the Palestinian Embassy in Amman.

The PMC added that the evacuation was carried out in cooperation with the Jordanian Foreign Ministry.

Furthermore, Palestinian Foreign Minister, Riyadh Al Maliky, instructed the Palestinian ambassador to Cuba, Akram Samhan, to head to Haiti along with Palestinian and Cuban physicians to participate in the relief work and to follow up on the situation of the Palestinian community in Haiti.
