Israeli troops opened fire on Monday at Palestinians gathered at the Israeli built wall near Rafah city, southern Gaza Strip.

The local Committees against the Wall organized the Monday event. Soldiers opened fire at the unarmed civilians as soon as they reached the buffer zone near the wall, local media reported.

The organizers called upon all Palestinian political groups and NGOs to take part in the weekly event. Nonviolent anti wall protests take place every Friday across the West Bank.

In some locations like the central West Bank village of Bil’in continued protest and legal action in Israeli courts were successful. Bil’in got more than half of their lands taken to build the wall back.
