Israeli naval forces attacked on Tuesday Palestinian fishing boats off the shoreline of northern Gaza Strip town of Beit Lahiya.
Fishermen said that navy vessels opened fire at them while they were still close to the shore and forced to go back. Damage was reported to boats but no injuries among fishermen.
Since Israel strengthened its siege on the Gaza Strip on June of 2007, the Israeli navy rarely allows local fishermen to go far into the sea to fish, and naval vessels constantly attack them as they try to fish.
