Palestinian medical sources reported Friday that an infant died at a hospital in Gaza after Israel refused to allow his family to transfer him to an Israeli hospital to receive specialized medical treatment. The infant was identified as Mohammad Khader, 7 months. His death brings the toll of patients who have died due to the siege up to 374.
Khader had a swelling in his brain and needed specialized treatment while hospitals in the Gaza Strip lack basic equipment and supplies due to the ongoing illegal Israeli siege.
The family of Khader tried to take him out of Gaza and filed several applications to Israel to allow them to travel, but all of their applications were denied.
