Palestinian medical sources in the Gaza Strip reported Friday afternoon, that the bodies of two Palestinians were located under the rubble of a tunnel that was bombarded by the Israeli army, in Rafah, on Friday at dawn.One of the two Palestinians was identified as Amer Atwa Abu Hadayid, 23, while the second Palestinian remained unknown until the time of this report. A third Palestinian was also wounded in the attack.
Earlier on Friday at dawn, the Israeli Air Force fired carried several air strikes targeting areas in the southern and northern parts of the Gaza Strip.
The attacks targeted Beit Lahia and Jabalia, in northern Gaza, and at least two tunnels in Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli Army said that the bombarded areas include weapon storage facilities used by Palestinian resistance groups, and two tunnels in Rafah.
The army added that the shelling came in retaliation to ten mortars fired towards Israel.
