On Sunday, Day 69 since the resumption of the genocide in the devastated, besieged and starved Gaza Strip, the Israeli army bombarded and shells many areas in the coastal enclave, killing at least 48 Palestinians, including a journalist an several members of his family, and wounding dozens, including children and women.

In Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, the army fired a missile at a home in the western part of the city, killing Hamada Al-‘Amoudi and his wife.

Also in Khan Younis, a Palestinian doctor, Ahmad Adel Abu Hilal, while another Palestinian, Amer Al-Madhoun, was killed along with his wife and their two children when the bombarded Al-Amal neighborhood, in the western part of the city, and Dr. Ahmad Abu Hilal was killed when the army fired a missile at his tent in Mawasi Khan Younis.

In Abasan Al-Kabira town, east of Khan Younis, Israeli shells killed at least one Palestinian and caused several injuries.

The Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, said its fighters detonated explosives in a house that was occupied by Israeli soldiers in the Al-Qarara town, east of Khan Younis, and added that military helicopters were observed evacuating injured soldiers, before its fighters exchanged fired with more soldiers in the area.

Furthermore, the army wired and detonated many homes in Al-Qarara, in addition to firing many artillery shells at Bani Soheila, east of Khan Younis.

It is worth mentioning that the Israeli army fired barrages of live rounds at displaced Palestinians in the northern and the western areas of Rafah, in Gaza’s southmost part.

In central Gaza, a pregnant woman was among several Palestinians killed, and many injured in Israeli bombing of central Gaza.

Media sources reported that a dead fetus was found outside his mother’s body after she was killed in the Israeli airstrike in central Gaza.

In addition, the Israeli bombing of a tent where a displaced family sheltered in the Al-Masha’la area in Deir Al-Balah, in central Gaza, resulting in killing five family members, including two children, in addition to causing many injuries,

In Jabalia, in northern Gaza, the Israeli army fired a missile at a home of a Palestinian journalist, Hassan Majdi Abu Warda, killing him along with several members of his family, and causing many injuries.

His death brings the total number of journalists killed since the start of the war on October 7, 2023, to more than 221, in addition to hundreds who have been wounded or abducted by the Israeli army.

In addition, seven Palestinians were killed, and many injured, when the army fired a missile at a home in Jabalia an-Nazla.

In addition, medical sources said at least one Palestinian was killed and several others injured in an Israeli bombing of the Al-Fallujah area in Jabalia refugee camp, in northern Gaza.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) stated on Sunday that the only way to prevent the worsening humanitarian disaster in Gaza is through an “effective and continuous flow of aid,” as the Israeli siege on the enclave persists for nearly three months.

In a statement published on the social media platform X, UNRWA emphasized that the humanitarian crisis in Gaza has reached catastrophic levels, with dire consequences since Israel shut down border crossings on March 2.

The agency stressed that Palestinians in Gaza can no longer afford to wait for aid to arrive, stating that the territory urgently requires a minimum of 500 to 600 aid trucks daily, managed by the United Nations, to meet basic humanitarian needs.

UNRWA reiterated that an “effective and continuous” flow of assistance is essential to prevent the situation from deteriorating further.”

At least 58 Palestinians, including children, have died due to malnutrition, while 242 others, mostly elderly individuals and children, have died due to shortages of food and medicine over the 80 days of the Israeli blockade.

The Israeli siege has led to an escalating hunger crisis, leaving 2.4 million Gaza residents in dire need.

Israeli forces continue to prevent aid shipments from entering the territory, despite massive humanitarian supplies accumulating at the borders since March 2.

In recent days, the military offensive has intensified, with Israel launching a ground assault in both the northern and southern regions of Gaza.

This year, the Israeli army has killed at least 4,825 Palestinians, including 1,265 children and 318 women, in the Gaza Strip.

Israel has now killed at least 53,901 Palestinians, including more than 16,505 children and 9,799, and injured more than 122,593, largely children, women and elderly, in addition to about 11,000 Palestinians remain missing, largely under the rubble, across the devastated Gaza Strip, since October 7, 2023.
