Gaza’s Health Ministry reported Wednesday that hospitals received the bodies of eight Palestinians during the preceding 24 hours—seven newly killed in Israeli attacks and one who succumbed to earlier wounds—and received 31 wounded Palestinians. On Wednesday evening, an Israeli military drone fired a missile at a tent housing displaced Palestinians in Asda’ City, in northern Al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis, killing Mohammad Mahmoud Murshed Al-Qadi, 39, and injuring four others. Medical sources said Al-Qadi succumbed to his wounds at Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis.

Israeli forces also carried out artillery shelling and opened fire in several areas of the Gaza Strip amid continuing ceasefire violations.
The ministry reported that since the ceasefire took effect on October 11, 2025, Israeli attacks have killed 1,334 Palestinians and injured 4,429 others, while rescue teams have recovered the bodies of 815 slain Palestinians. Since October 7, 2023, Israeli attacks on Gaza have killed 73,470 Palestinians and injured 174,540 others.
The ministry added that an unknown number of victims remain beneath the rubble and on roads because ambulance and civil defense crews are unable to reach them.
Dr. Abu Safiya Reports Continued Abuse in Israeli Detention
Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, said Israeli prison guards continue to beat him, deliberately deprive him of sleep, and threaten him to prevent him from telling his lawyer about his detention conditions, according to testimony conveyed during an August 30 legal visit.
According to Physicians for Human Rights Israel, Abu Safiya said guards punched and kicked him and struck him with batons across his body, including his groin. He said they also disrupted his sleep with persistent noise and loudspeakers throughout the night. He added that guards assaulted and threatened him after an earlier meeting with his lawyer to prevent him from disclosing his prison conditions.
Israeli forces abducted Abu Safiya on December 27, 2024, during their raid on Kamal Adwan Hospital. He remains imprisoned without charge or trial under Israel’s Unlawful Combatants Law, which allows prolonged detention without requiring authorities to present detainees with the evidence used to justify their imprisonment.
Concerns over Abu Safiya’s health have intensified. According to Physicians for Human Rights Israel, the Israeli Prison Service transferred him on August 10 from the underground Rakevet facility, where he had been held in isolation, to the medical center at Ramla Prison for approximately one week.

Medical records obtained by Physicians for Human Rights Israel documented an injury to Abu Safiya’s left eye and complaints of pain in his head and chest.
Physicians for Human Rights Israel said prison authorities continue to delay permission for an independent physician to examine Abu Safiya despite his reported health problems and transfer to a prison medical facility. The organization has taken legal action to obtain immediate access for an independent medical examination.

Israeli Forces Continue Ceasefire Violations Amid Ongoing Siege

For the 328th consecutive day, Israeli forces continued to violate the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday while maintaining and tightening the blockade on the coastal enclave, further exacerbating the humanitarian crisis facing hundreds of thousands of Palestinians.
The latest violations included artillery shelling, live ammunition, naval fire, helicopter attacks, and the destruction of civilian property across several areas of Gaza.
In the southern Gaza Strip, Israeli artillery shelled Islamic Complex Street in eastern Khan Younis. In central Gaza, the army targeted the Abu Al-‘Ajin area southeast of Deir Al-Balah. The attacks coincided with intermittent fire from Israeli military helicopters.

In Gaza City, Israeli naval vessels opened fire toward the shoreline, while military helicopters targeted areas east of the At-Tuffah neighborhood.
Heavy artillery also struck the vicinity of the Sanfour junction and other eastern districts as Israeli military vehicles fired live rounds into surrounding areas.

In northern Gaza, Israeli tanks and artillery launched intensive attacks on areas east of Beit Lahia. Additional artillery bombardment and helicopter fire were reported southeast of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces detonated residential buildings north of the Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza. The demolitions were accompanied by artillery shelling and helicopter attacks, while tanks positioned northeast of the refugee camp fired heavy machine guns toward nearby areas.

The continued attacks come despite U.S. President Donald Trump’s July 31, 2026, announcement that an agreement had been reached on the second phase of the Gaza “roadmap.” Israeli forces have continued daily violations of the ceasefire.
Despite “ceasefire” announcements and international mediation efforts, Palestinians across the Gaza Strip continue to face military attacks, widespread destruction, mass displacement, and severe shortages of food, water, medicine, and other essential supplies under the ongoing Israeli blockade.
On Tuesday alone, seven Palestinians, including two children and a woman, were killed and several others wounded in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip. Israeli military vehicles also carried out incursions and other operations that Palestinian sources described as ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health’s September 1, 2026, report, 1,326 Palestinians have been killed and 4,398 wounded since the ceasefire took effect on October 11, while 815 bodies have been recovered
It added that the cumulative death toll since October 7, 2023, has risen to 73,462 Palestinians, while the number of wounded has reached 174,509. The figures remain the ministry’s latest available totals.
The ministry added that additional victims remain beneath the rubble and in the streets because ambulance and Civil Defense crews are still unable to reach them.
