Israeli colonizers, with the cooperation of occupation forces, killed two Palestinians on Wednesday evening, in the village of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah in the central West Bank.
Media sources reported that a group of illegal Israeli colonizers stormed the village of Al-Mughayyir on Wednesday evening, while occupation forces closed its entrance and invaded the village.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that its ambulance crews transported two citizens to the hospital after they suffered live gunshot injuries; one was shot in the neck and the other was shot in the back.
Amin Abu Aliya, the head of the Al-Mughayyir village council, told the WAFA News Agency that a group of illegal colonizers, under army protection, invaded the vicinity of the Grand Mosque, attacked two citizens’ homes and stole their sheep.
Abu Aliya added that Israeli sharpshooters, positioned on the rooftops of homes, opened fire towards Palestinians who confronted the colonizer attack, critically injuring two Palestinians with live ammunition.
He added that the two teens were pronounced dead at the hospital; they were identified as the child Khalil Rasem Abu Alia, 16, and Omar Mohammad Naji Al-Naasan, 19.
Abu Aliya stated that “the settlers’ presence began in the western part of the village, before the Israeli army forces stormed the town and spread throughout its various parts.”
He added that local citizens attempted to confront the settlers, before soldiers assaulted a number of citizens and fired tear gas canisters at others, causing them to suffer inhalation injuries.
Since the beginning of the year, Israeli soldiers and illegal colonizers have killed 95 Palestinians, including 25 children and 6 women, in the occupied West Bank.
Among those, 22 Palestinians have been killed in Ramallah, 20 in Hebron, 19 in Nablus, 10 in Jerusalem, 9 in Jenin, 6 in Tubas, 3 in Bethlehem, 2 in Jericho and the Jordan Valley, 2 in Qalqilia, 1 in Salfit, and 1 in Tulkarem, according to the Shireen Observatory.
