Palestinian medical sources reported on Tuesday night that a Palestinian woman was killed and five other residents were injured when the Israeli army fired artillery shells at a number of homes in Juhr Ad Deek, east of Gaza City. The sources stated that Ni’ma Abu Sa’id, 38, suffered serious wounds, and was moved to a local hospital where she died of her wounds. Several other residents were wounded, some seriously.

Eyewitnesses reported that the army carried a limited invasion into Juhr Ad Deek area and fired shells at several homes.

Meanwhile, the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigade, the armed wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) claimed responsibility for detonating an explosive charge near a military vehicle invading al-Maghazi refugee camp in Gaza.

The Brigade added that its fighters exchanged fire with the invading forces.
