A 19 year old man from the village of Iraq Burin, near Nablus, has been shot and killed, on Thursday, by settlers.Reports are conflicted as to the nature of the events leading to the death of the man, identified as Ady Maher Qadous.
Israeli journalist Joseph Dana, of the +972 Magazine group, has reported eyewitness statements that Qadous was approached by settlers as he was farming with his cousin, and was shot without prior confrontation.
Ma’an News Agency are reporting that Qadous was participating in a march towards the illegal settlement of Yitzhar, with approximately 70 villagers, when the settlers opened fire.
Qadous was taken to a hospital in Nablus, but was pronounced dead on arrival.
This attack follows a group of settlers setting fire to a car in the village of Ein Abbus, also near Nablus, early Thursday morning. See IMEMC for more information.
