A Palestinian fighter was accidentally killed on Wednesday evening while handling a grenade west of Jabalia, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.The fighter is a member of the National Resistance Committees, the armed wing of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP). He was identified as Jihad Khader Abu Elba, 22.
He suffered serious wounds and died a few hours after he was admitted to the Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.
The National Resistance Committees issued a statement mourning the slain fighter and vowing to continue the path of resistance until liberation and independence.
