The Palestine News Network reports that extremist settlers handed out eviction notices to a further 10 families living in Sheikh Jarrah in East Jerusalem on Tuesday.A group of settlers from the Moskovich and Chibi Ali organizations allegedly delivered the eviction notices to the families, claiming that their homes belong to the settlers.
Residents claim that settlers forcibly entered one of the houses in question, taking photographs of the interior, before the owners managed to expel them.
The owners have met with NGOs and are intending to take legal action to prevent the evictions. Such evictions are illegal under article 49 of the 4th Geneva Convention.
